Adventure Travel Co. Cancellation Policy

General

Adventure Travel Co. strongly requests that all guests participating in Adventure Travel Co. tours have an active travel insurance policy.

We suggest you reconfirm with the travel desk in person, by phone call or email before 8pm on the day prior to your tour, to ensure all tour details are as they should be and to reconfirm your start time. This is not obligatory, but it helps avoid any interruptions to your touring day.

Adventure Travel Co. tours operate in all weather in which the company (or its representatives) deems it safe to continue, though the company reserves the right to alter or amend an itinerary if circumstances require.

Private Tours

Private tour bookings are not confirmed until payment is received (by Adventure Travel Co. or an accredited Travel Agent*).

If confirmed tour bookings are cancelled by the guest, for any reason, the following fees will apply:

4-7 days in advance – 5% of tour cost
1-3 days in advance – 10% of tour cost
Within 24 hours of commencement – refunds will not be available

If changes are made more than 24 hours prior to original booking, there will be no additional charges. If a tour is rebooked, the rebooked date must be within 3 months of the original booking date – otherwise the tour will be considered a cancellation, with applicable cancellation fees applied.

All changes are subject to availability. If changes are made within the 24 hours prior to the tour, this may be considered as a cancellation and cancellation fees will charged accordingly. The right to charge cancellation fees is at the discretion of Adventure Travel Co.

If last minute (less than 24 hours) date changes are made, Adventure Travel Co. reserves the right to charge a 10% fee to take the revised date.

If Adventure Travel Co. is forced to cancel a private tour for reasons beyond their control, any prior tour payments will be fully refunded (other than third party booking fees).

Group Tours

Full payment of the per person cost is required for all group tours at the time of booking.

If minimum numbers are not acquired for group bookings by 8pm on the day prior to the tour, the guest has the option to pay a higher rate for the tour to continue (must be agreed upon by all guests in the group) or to cancel the booking with a full refund of the payment.

A group tour is confirmed when the minimum number of participants is met. If places on confirmed group tours are cancelled by the guest, for any reason, the following fees will apply:

2 or more days prior to the tour – No charge
1 day in advance of the tour – 25% of tour cost
Within 24 hours of commencement – refunds will not be available

An unconfirmed group tour is when there are more than 1 participants signed up, but the minimum numbers have not yet been met. If places on an unconfirmed group tour are cancelled by the guest, for any reason, the following fees will apply:

1 day in advance of the tour – No charge
Within 24 hours of commencement – 10% of the tour cost

If Adventure Travel Co. is forced to cancel a group tour due to lack of numbers, any prior tour payments will be fully refunded (other than third party booking fees).

Package Tours

Package tour bookings are not confirmed until payment of a 20% deposit is received (by Adventure Travel Co. or an accredited Travel Agent*).

If confirmed tour bookings are cancelled by the guest, for any reason, the following fees will apply:

More than 14 days in advance – No charge
7-14 days in advance – 10% of tour cost
3-7 days in advance – 20% of tour cost
Within 3 days of commencement – refunds will not be available

All flights which have been ticketed by the airline are non-refundable.
